Global citizenship: WTF? 1

Here we are, ready to go. The lights are low and we're ready to go.
Public lecture? All I can see are forty colleagues, desperate to work out what the hell this is (plus the guilty parties - management hacks and co who've foisted this stuff - whatever it is - on us).

Presenter's career is divided between what she's doing now and 'academic posts' by the person introducing her, which seems like a Freudian slip to me.

Oh dear. Global Citizenship has disappeared already - not a great start to something that's meant to inform our teaching. Title is now 'thinking of difference differently'. I assume that Derridean différance is not on the agenda. We're into 'singularity' in sociological and pedagogical terms, i.e. what happens when we try to teach students from many different cultures. Looks like we'll be thinking about cultural relativism.
