I've just been in a pre-board meeting with the external examiners for one of my subjects. We felt like kittens rescued from abusive owners - after being kicked around by those meant to look after us, these kind and thoughtful people come along and tell us that we're good teachers, providing an intellectually varied and challenging curriculum, and that we work really hard: all the things that we should - but don't - hear from our employers.
Now for the pub and then a slap-up feed.
