4 books today: Ariel Levy's
Female Chauvinist Pigs: Women and the Rise of Raunch Culture (about why women are now claiming that pole-dancing, porn,
FHM etc. are 'empowering'), Natasha Walter's feminism-lite
Living Dolls: The Return of Sexism, Shannon Stewart's poems about the
Pickton serial killer (he definitely killed 26 women, probably 50),
Penny Dreadful and
Slanderous Tongues: Essays on Welsh Poetry in English 1970-2005, a very elegant volume.

What's so empowering about spinning around on a pole naked? A woman's sexuality is measured at strange levels nowadays.
My thoughts exactly. Though Family Guy's Meg claims that extracting money from morons by showing them nipples is a mark of superiority.
