I thought that I'd start an occasional series reviewing the music in my collection. I'll have to restrict it my CD collection, as I've got it all on my computer - there are many thousands more on vinyl which will have to wait.
First up, in alphabetical order, is The Accidental's There Were Wolves. I believe this one was a present, and rather pleasant it is too: a mix of melancholic indie and folk. It's not an album I'd take to a desert island, but it's good for a quiet night in with a book. Good lyrics, decent voices, but not hugely innovative compared with some of the wilder folkies out there, who'll I'll cover as I get to them. I think they're hugely indebted to the wonderful Mojave 3 (themselves a spinoff from the sublime Slowdive).
