Catchers. Emma's never heard of them, and nor have many others, but I'm still transfixed by their early nineties Irish dreampop. There's a lot more to them than this poorly-produced track, but history has forgotten them, though Wikipedia hasn't. Big in France… oh dear.
Still, after ten years of silence, their singer has a new, rather wonderful band, The Sleeping Years (name nicked from the opening of the second Catchers track here).

Catchers are fab, don't know why more people haven't heard of them. Keep meaning to buy The Sleeping Years' album...another trip to Amazon me thinks. Damn you Voley, making me spend money again.
