Are we REALLY all in this together?

It seems increasingly unlikely. Never mind the myriad mean-minded and vicious attacks on benefits. Today the annual rise in the minimum wage was announced. 15p, up to £6.08 (£4.98 for 18-20s, £3.68 for the 16-17 age group. Apprentices get a massive £2.60 per hour). The key is that it's below inflation. So anyone on the minimum wage will be poorer this year than they were last year.

Now, what's happening with the rich? Well, the government's abolishing the 50% tax on the mega-rich and massively reducing corporation tax.

Some people are clearly more in it than others.
