Today, I have mostly been listening to…

Your Girlfriend's Evil, by Zoot Horn, reproduced below for your aural pleasure.
And Christy and Emily's Superstition album, which is a lovely mix of torchsong, folk and indie into which an awful lot of love has clearly gone. Recommended!

Where's this from? Even Zoot hasn't got a recording of this! Black Country Delta mumblings.

A source! Good, isn't it, though yes, enunciation would improve it!

Gad, I'm being bootlegged - it's a kind of fame I suppose.
Do you know that the first 'official' bootleg was Dylan's double album the Great White Wonder that I remember not being able to afford in July 1969?
Around the same time as the moon landings.
Coincidence?
That's what they want you to think...

A claim often repeated, but I believe that an unoffical (and much sought after) set of recordings of Pinky and Perky covering Charles Manson surfing songs appeared the previous year under the title Bringing Home the Bacon on the Board

I forgot that one! I've got some of those tracks covered by Dennis and Brian Wilson on a secret Beach Boys session album. There's also a bootleg of David Bowie frying thinly cut potato slices while humming a demo version of Space Oddity called the Great Golden Wonder - although the frying noises might be vinyl static. I got it at a car boot sale for £400from a man who said he once did some plumbing work for David. It's probably worth a packet now.
