No, he's not in prison. But if you
sign up for his mailing list, you get a load of songs from his forthcoming album
for free! And really, who hasn't got space in their lives for the man who makes Cohen look like a stand-up comedian. 'There's no hope for you, because God's away on business'. Come on everybody, join in!

Gah, this is great and all but I hate having odd songs from albums.
Best Tom Waits album, Vole? I have Mule Variations added to spotify. Is that the best one/most accessible?
Voley, Cohen is a very funny man. Those who think he is depressing have no sense of humour.
However, I am grateful for the link.
Dan - it's quite a few tracks. Best album for me: Swordfishtrombones. Weirdo cabaret mixed with 1980s stuff.
Emma - I know Laughing Len's a funny man, though it's usually melancholic humour. He did, however, write, 'Don't Go Home With Your Hard-on' - a party CD must.
Best Waits albums are:
Rain Dogs
The Heart of Saturday Night
Blood Money
"One From The Heart" (soundtrack)
The Black Rider
Blue Valentine
Frank's Wild Years
Bone Machine
oh yeah and also get
Alice
Orphans
Nighthawks at the Diner
Swordfishtrombones
Mule Variations
Closing Time
Small Change
also worth getting are
Real Gone
Big Time
Heart Attack and Vine
Foreign Affairs
any bootlegs you can find...
I thought you might have something to say on this one. Is that basically all of them?
