I can't believe you did that! (I don't even know the band and I'm heartbroken). I'm sure the lady behind the counter has got 'em. BTW Marilyn French died - author of The Womens' Room and a long out of print but brilliant study of Joyce's Ulysses.
On the up-side Vole. If you do find out who stole your cds it is a fair bet that if they like Camera Obscura albums then you should have no problems beating them up. You could become some sort of limp-rock vigilante 'The Field Mouse' part of the crime fighting team 'The Gentle Braves' fighting the evil, 'Nick' Drake.
Don't listen to that nasty man! I'm sure the culprits are death metal fans or Black Country goths - the cds are probably hanging in trees in a Dudley wood at this moment, along with suspended feathers and chicken bones, mutilated and abused as part of some ungodly ritual.
Panic over, everybody. They're safe with the lovely ladies at the coffee bar. Thanks for your concern. I'd left them because I was also carrying the day's haul of books!
My girlfriend said that would be the case; apparently around 10 items per day - usually library books - are left in the canteen. As a result the kitchen staff are all brilliantly if rather randomly educated.
