Recipe time

Neal and I wondered about cheese and chocolate last week. So we tried it. We put really dark, chilli chocolate with Welsh cheddar flavoured with ginger. It's delicious. It also reminded me of an occasional treat from my student days in the mid-90s. Boil up some well-salted spaghetti. Then put a bar of Dairy Milk on top, and microwave it. I like to think that it inspired Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls.

Feel free to suggest your own recipes.

Spaghetti. Chocolate. Microwave.

I've just vomited thinking about that. I don't really have any secret recipes, but my favourite sandwiches are cheddar cheese and tomato ketchup, outstanding.

I usually cook good stuff, and have my organic local vegetables delivered. I make my own hollandaise, profiteroles with orange chocolate filling, poached chicken, moules frites with Guiness and soda bread, beer and butter soup etc. etc.

After bloody gardening I've had vinegar and bread. Piece of bread. Drizzle a tablespoon of vinegar evenly round the bread. Not too much, might sting. Voila.

I was wondering the other day if there is any ingredient that won't go with cheese, hence the chocolate-cheese experiment. Although I wouldn't say they're a match made in heaven, it wasn't a unpleasant combination. Perhaps better in a cheesecake format.

Ice-cream and cheese? Ice-cheese? Could work, but cheese should really be ate at room temperature.

That sounds disgusting! It reminds me, once I had the misfortune of tasting a salted chocolate pretzel. It made me gag.
