Swoon to Christy and Emily!

I've been listening to a lot of Christy and Emily recently - they've supported The Nightingales and sometimes play with them. They're perfect for a grey day - subdued tunes and lyrics which remind me of Joan as Police Woman or the very best of Regina Spektor, though perhaps a bit more musically thoughtful - a miz of rock and contemporary classical (how I wish there were a better term for that). Definitely worth a listen.

Good sounds.
BTW Vole, I just watched Jam & Jerusalem with my partner periodically exclaiming the already-noted similarity between you and Mitchell and her grandson wondering what she was on about and why were we watching Emmerdale in the first place. I enjoyed it; a kind of much more carnivorous Vicar of Dibley with a great cast. Your double had the best line: a guy walked into the pub and was engaged by the Dawn French character and Mitchell quipped "poor guy, wanted a short break in an area of oustanding natural beauty and he's confronted with the cast of The Wicker Man". Priceless.
Must dash. Taking kids who are quarantined from their swine-flu-suspected mum to Birmigham Sea Life tomorrow so I have to sell my house to afford the bastard admission fee.
