The kids are alright

Well, day one of the competition's over - today was round one of the individual event. There were small problems - the food's not impressive and the lack of showers at a sporting venue is a surprise, but the competition itself ran very well. I had no major problems to deal with, so I wandered around with my camera.

Most of the pictures are probably of interest only to fencers, their parents and coaches horrified by terrible footwork, but you might want to take a look. Here are a few samples - click for larger versions - or see the full set. The light was quite difficult - any advice from you experts?
