In the grand tradition of university lecturers trying to reach out to students via popular culture and getting it completely wrong, I'm going to start my series of lectures on class relations in medieval literature with this 35 years-old film clip.
What do you reckon? Still funny?

I watched that clip again myself last week, and upon doing so I changed my political views on Facebook from Variable to "Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords."
In short, I think its still funny.
Ahhh, they don't make anarcho-syndicalist communitarian propaganda movies like they used to, more's the pity. It's not just funny, it's sublime.
This clip shone out to me even when I first heard it (on record) at the age of six. Of course I didn't understand the words (still don't), so it became (and remains) a sort of percussion to me.
Oh whatta giveaway *Jurr* that *Jurr* that, ay?
I say: PLAY IT. If they don't laugh, so much the better.
(by the way, my website is no longer infected, and its nipples explode with the light)
