Oh yes, another parcel from a company which isn't Amazon. This time it's the enormous first volume of
Mark Twain's autobiography, which he embargoed for 100 years from his death, although his executors partially ignored him. This is the first proper volume though. It's not a conventional book: he didn't sit down and write the story of his life. Instead, he employed someone to follow him round to take dictation whenever the great man had anything to say. It's fractured, non-linear and fascinating.
