It's typical of Apple. I bought a Macbook Air just before the last upgrade, a cinema screen just before they updated them with the glass facias (ooh, shiny) and I finally succumbed this month and upgraded my iPhone to the 3GS version. I really wish I hadn't clicked that macrumors link - the message for iPhone is 'don't buy - updates soon.'

I know, but I had to buy one at some point, and it's still a good computer.
It is shiny and magnificent, though obviously I'm a mere beginner compared with Neil's obsession (and bank balance).
