There's been a smug spate of iPhone owners (of which I am, admittedly, one) posting pictures of themselves unboxing their new toy.
So I thought I'd post the 1910-1920s equivalent: unboxing a beautiful new Vest Pocket Kodak camera (the box says model B, but they look a little different). This looks like the comparatively rarer c. 1915 model.
But don't worry, geeks: I've made sure that there's an iPhone in there if you look carefully. You can see the full set here (or click these selections for bigger versions). If any of you know where I can get film and processing, let me know: I'd like to try this beauty out.

For sale
I want to treat myself to a new camera lens (either a Nikon 28-300 or more realistically a 55-300 VR) because I have lens envy.
So I have for sale a Nikon D40 camera body with bag and spare battery, a Nikon 55-200VR lens, and a boxed Sigma 70-300 DG Macro.
Let me know via the comments if you're interested.

Moronicity
I'm such an idiot. I bought a beautiful Nikon D40 a few weeks ago. Today, rushing out to snap a pair of buzzards, I dropped it and appear to have wrecked the 18-55 zoom lens: it won't take photos at all on Automatic, the motors whirr but nothing moves, and manual photos are out of focus. So I guess I'm looking at £80+ wasted on repairs or replacement for my own stupidity.
I've started putting my photos on Flickr - only the Malvern ones were taken with the Nikon, but Vilnius is beautiful through any viewfinder.
