For your horror

I'm teaching Waugh's bittersweet novel Vile Bodies next week. Unfortunately, when I typed up the reading list, I was still blinded by rage about the appalling film version, Bright Young Things and put that title on the list, so I look like an idiot.

It truly is a terrible film: a 1929-set version of Peter's Friends, which is the most damning thing to say about anything. Thankfully, directory Stephen Fry is now too busy Tweeting to make a sequel.
