By Toutatis, Uppal was right!

The only subject my dubious MP talks about other than fixing the tax system for his own benefit is his conviction that the West Midlands is a hotbed of electoral fraud (despite his failure to report his suspicions to the police, the absence of any police inquiry and his false claims to parliament about Electoral Commission investigations).

I must apologise publicly to Mr. Uppal. There has been electoral fraud committed in the area, though not in Uppal's constituency, and not by his Labour opponents. It's hard to believe, given the Conservative Party's upstanding and unswaying opposition to such devious practices, but a Conservative Party member has just been sent to prison for electoral fraud.

I look forward to Mr. Uppal's statement on the matter.
