Let's play buzzword bingo!

Here's the Preface to the University's Annual Report, done as a Wordle. There's a distinct lack of references to 'torture', 'fine' and 'redundancy'. I can't find any way to save it as a better image and post it here: help?

All the books you should read?

Here's a fascinating visualisation you might have an opinion about: a roundup of all the 'top 100 books' charts that infest our Review sections on slow Saturdays. The larger the lettering, the more recommendations.

All I've learned from this is that the internet is almost exclusively inhabited by people like me: SF-reading literature lecturers. I'm sad enough to have read a lot of them, and don't want to read the ones I haven't (Lonesome Dove, Life of Pi, The Curious Incident…, The Foutainhead, The Kite Runner, The Glass Bead Game). Persuade me I should?

More Wordle fun

I could use Wordle as an analytical tool. Instead of doing what I should be doing (marking), I'm doing a little research for my Anne of Green Gables paper. Here's what happens when I put the entire text into Wordle (better version here):

Wordle: Anne of Green Gables
Interesting how little Gilbert features, considering his prominence in the popular consciousness of the book.
