I'm so very proud

Two of my excellent students made this video for the fight against education funding cuts, and I know virtually everyone in it.

(I make a cameo appearance, complete with Penfold voice and Eric Pickles's spare chins).

I'm writing this with tears in my eyes as a surge of pride and spiritual solidarity push my hopeometer up to a full reading. Well done all of you. You're all invited to mine for tea and jaffa cakes.

You have good reason to be proud. They've done a brilliant job; heart-felt, eloquent and very well put together. The students who have taken part are a credit to themselves and to the university, also.

Excellent piece of work - well done to all of you - a credit to students everywhere.

I wondered whether you would blog this or not. I saw this video on Facebook and almost spat out my tea (milk, no sugar) when I saw your good self.

It's all horribly futile, of course, but the video is a decent effort none the less.

(you know everyone in it? Who's the girl on the left at 1:13?)

I'm horrified by my role, but everyone else is very good.

I'm not helping you stalk people!

Good video, good to see some bright young people standing up for something they believe in (as you know, I spent my entire academic career either in bed or in the pub - and the reward for that is a career at News Corp...) Your appearance made me laugh though (sorry mate) - you need to cut down on your park life, get some exercise! (I'm going to post some first year pics from Bangor alongside stills from the video on flicker.)
