Snow patrol

I gave myself a new camera for Christmas - a Nikon D7000. I've not got to grips with it yet, but it's already wonderful to use. I took a few pictures today - mostly of kittens (my sister has an adorable grey one) and birds, with some good snow and sunset ones. See them here (once they've uploaded: non-university internet is so slow), or click on the samples below to enlarge them.

Icicle, Icicle. I Love to Ride my Icicle…

I'm running out of puns. Rest of my Dark Place on Ice photos here. Click these ones to embiggen.

Ice to see you!

A few more pictures of the West Midlands. Rest here, click to enlarge.

Ice Ice Baby

Morning wastrels. Are you enjoying the beautiful seasonal weather? I certainly am. Despite an Arctic flat (my fault - I decided that crappy electric heaters took up too much wallspace and replaced them with bookcases), I'm loving it.

Even The Hegemon and The Dark Place are beautiful today. So stunning, in fact, that I left the office for 20 minutes to take pictures. I have to say that I'm quite proud of these ones, especially the panoramic ones.

Click on them to enlarge, or see the whole lot here.
