Snow patrol

I gave myself a new camera for Christmas - a Nikon D7000. I've not got to grips with it yet, but it's already wonderful to use. I took a few pictures today - mostly of kittens (my sister has an adorable grey one) and birds, with some good snow and sunset ones. See them here (once they've uploaded: non-university internet is so slow), or click on the samples below to enlarge them.

Snow joke

A few more pictures of the Shropshire countryside in winter and its birdlife- see the rest here.

Take-off

Walking in a winter wonderland

I went home to see my dear old muvver this weekend, and obviously needed to get out of the house after a while (only joking, mother). I took a few pictures - see the whole set here. Click on these samples for bigger versions.

Map Twats…

Only Cynical Ben was missing, which is a shame, but it was only a local jaunt and the cheese was limited. A few pictures (more in the previous two posts, and a lot more here)

Time to shake off the dust of this crummy burg (for two days)

Farewell for a couple of days. I'm off home to help my littlest sister granny-sit, and to show some of the Map Twats round the Dorothy Clive garden, next door. One of my many summer jobs was taking money from plant thieves. Sorry, I mean collecting entrance fees from plant lovers. It's a most tranquil place, as Bill and Ted would have put it. Have a good weekend.
