Autumnal Friday Conundrum

Easy one.

Which leaves are best for piling up and running through? Maple's aesthetically good, beech leaves are dry and crinkly - depends on what you're looking for in a good autumn afternoon.

  1. I go out of my way to step on any crunchy leaf.

  2. No idea.

This has reminded me however of a baseball pitcher called Ray King, leading my friend and I to name him, yes, "leaves".

  3. I'm going with beech. We have them in our garden and they make a lovely sound when kicked playfully into the air!

  4. I have wonderful childhood memories of Queens Park in Invercargill and huge piles of oak leaves which were crunchy and fun. We used to love finding skeletal ones too.

  5. Any are good, especially when you know someone else has painstakingly swept them into a tidy pile!

  6. Congratulations Vole. You have finally found something that I have absolutely no opinion on.

It had to happen sooner or later I suppose.
