Snow patrol

I gave myself a new camera for Christmas - a Nikon D7000. I've not got to grips with it yet, but it's already wonderful to use. I took a few pictures today - mostly of kittens (my sister has an adorable grey one) and birds, with some good snow and sunset ones. See them here (once they've uploaded: non-university internet is so slow), or click on the samples below to enlarge them.

I bought myself a cd for Xmas but it got lost in the post. Amazon have assured me that a replacement will come. I can't help but reflect at this time of year that this is a little like the life of our Lord... Which brings me to my main point. My partner didn't get to this country until 1966 and we were talking about TV closedown times of yore and I mentioned the Epilogue. She had no idea what I was on about. Does anyone else remember it? A kind of Thought for the Day at night just before the TV went off air at about 11pm each evening. There's no entry for it on Wiki. I'm beginning to think that I'm the only person on earth who experienced it. Which might also be a little like the life of oh piss off.

How we larfed. And no, we've never heard of the Epilogue. But I bet it's on Youtube.

No. I checked. It's been consigned to the vestry of history.

I remember the Epilogue - I usually watched it when I got home drunk of an evening in the 1980s (I was very young then...), it was definitely going then.

In my memory it seems to have been earnest men and women, who usually wore crimpilene clothes and sensible shoes.
