Yet more utter nonsense.

My institution is facing rationalisation, redundancies, module restrictions and cutbacks to 'aid' 'retention'.

In France, students and lecturers faced with the same kind of managerial 'activity' are holding 24-hour lectures, readings and walks. Here, we're paying expensive external consultants large amounts of money to run focus groups about 'brand identity'. Brilliant. Let's call it, er, let's think, how about 'Wolverhampton University'? That'll be £30,000 (at a conservative guess).

Suicidally, I've just sent another angry e-mail to the 'Director of Marketing and Communications'.

I agree with this, its madness how the University are cutting staff members yet many inadequate postions remain to be filled by ignorant persons.

If the Director of Marketing responds with less then pleasant tone then I shall happily sign on the petition if one exists to get them sacked not the hardworking lecturers.
